Official server
Does Microsoft 365 have an MCP server?
Yes. Microsoft publishes pre-certified MCP servers covering Outlook Mail and Calendar, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word and Dataverse, documented at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-agent-365/tooling-servers-overview.
This is a family of servers across Microsoft's productivity stack rather than one endpoint, so coverage varies by product: Outlook and Teams access is a different grant from SharePoint or Dataverse access, and a firm should confirm which of the pre-certified servers its tenant actually enables before assuming broad reach.
Access runs through OAuth against the user's own Microsoft 365 tenant, so what an assistant reaches depends on that user's existing permissions in Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Dataverse, not on anything this directory can verify independently. Confirm current scope and certification status directly against Microsoft's documentation.
A connection into a firm's email, calendar, files and CRM-like Dataverse records is a wide surface holding client and firm data together. Start with read-only scopes where the specific server offers them, and audit the grant against firm data policy rather than tool by tool. This is a research note, not an endorsement.
