Comparison · Advisor & Firm Intelligence / Prospecting

Advisor and firm intelligence MCP servers compared: ADVmcp, AdvisorFinder, AdvizorPro, FINTRX and RelPro

Five servers in this directory answer questions about advisory firms and the people who run them. They are not interchangeable. Two read the regulatory record and are free. Two are paid contact databases built for outreach. One sells relationship and intent signals. Picking between them is mostly a question of whether you are writing a diligence memo or building a call list.

Three other servers sit in the same directory category and are deliberately not on this page. Apollo.io and Seamless.AI are general B2B prospecting tools that happen to get used in wealth; they are not built on advisory data. ValuationMCP does a different job, turning a firm's profile into a valuation rather than telling you about the firm.

One disclosure before anything else. ADVmcp is published by the same people who publish this directory. It is included here because it belongs in the category, and the section below says plainly what it does not do. Take the comparison on the specifics rather than on our word, and check the other four against their own documentation.

Where each one is the better answer

ADVmcp

Best for

Filed regulatory facts on any SEC-registered adviser, free and without an account. Assets, clients, accounts, custody arrangements and disclosures exactly as they appear in Form ADV, across 23,740 advisers, refreshed daily.

Watch for

It holds filings, not people. There are no contact records, no email addresses and no buyer-intent signals, so it answers what a firm looks like on paper and not who to call. Form ADV is self-reported by the filer and reported here exactly as filed, including any errors in the original.

AdvisorFinder

Best for

A free option that reaches both SEC IAPD and FINRA BrokerCheck in one place, which matters when a person holds both an advisory and a brokerage registration.

Watch for

Community-built and local-install, so there is no vendor behind it and no published security review. Its risk scoring is the project's own construction rather than a regulatory measure. Treat the underlying disclosures as the fact and the score as one person's interpretation.

Listing and connection details →

AdvizorPro

Best for

Contact-level reach into RIAs, broker-dealers, family offices and wealth teams. This is the one to use when the task ends in an outreach list rather than a diligence memo.

Watch for

Paid, API-key access, and coverage claims are the vendor's. Contact data ages quickly in an industry with this much movement, so verify a title against the firm's own filing before it goes into anything client-facing.

Listing and connection details →

FINTRX

Best for

Breadth. 780,000-plus reps, 45,000-plus firms and 4,500-plus family offices, with the family office coverage being the part hardest to replicate elsewhere.

Watch for

Paid and enterprise-priced. Dataset sizes are vendor-reported and not independently verified. Scale is not the same as accuracy, and a large record count tells you nothing about how recently any single record was confirmed.

RelPro

Best for

Relationship and signal data rather than registration data: firmographics, UCC filings, SBA loans, Form 5500 benefit plans and buyer-intent, which suits business-owner and retirement-plan prospecting.

Watch for

The widest scope on this page and the least wealth-specific. Buyer-intent signals are modeled inferences, not observed facts, and should never be presented to a prospect as knowledge of their intentions.

By advisor task

Diligence on a specific RIA before a meeting
ADVmcp. Filed AUM, client counts, custody and disclosures as filed, with no account needed. Add AdvisorFinder if the person is dually registered and you want the BrokerCheck record alongside it.
Building a target list for an acquisition
ADVmcp to screen on filed characteristics, then AdvizorPro or FINTRX when you need names and contact details to reach the owners. The screen and the outreach list are two different jobs.
Checking disclosures on an advisor
AdvisorFinder or ADVmcp. Both read the regulatory record. Neither interprets it for you, and neither should be asked to.
Family office coverage
FINTRX. Its family office dataset is the one nothing else on this page matches.
Retirement plan or business-owner prospecting
RelPro, whose Form 5500 and SBA data is shaped for exactly that. For the filed plan record itself rather than the signal layer, 5500mcp is the more direct route.

Before you connect any of them

  • Two of these five are free and need no account. Three are paid, and what a key returns depends on the plan behind it.
  • Filed data and vendor data fail differently. A filing can be wrong because the filer made a mistake. A contact database can be wrong because nobody has checked the record in two years. Neither failure announces itself.
  • Contact and relationship data carries obligations that filed public data does not. Know which of these you are allowed to use for outreach, and under what basis, before you point an agent at it.
  • Listings in this directory are informational. They are not endorsements, security reviews, or investment advice.
