Vendor-published server

Does Karbon have an MCP server?

Yes, as of October 26, 2026. Karbon publishes its own MCP server at https://mcp.karbonhq.com, documented in Karbon's own machine-readable site file, and connects an AI agent to a user's Karbon account through OAuth sign-in rather than an API key.

The endpoint is live and guarded. An unauthenticated call is rejected with an OAuth bearer-token challenge, and the server's own protected-resource metadata names https://identity.karbonhq.com/ as the authorization server and lists two scopes, mcp:public:read and mcp:public:write. So connecting is a sign-in flow your AI client handles, not a key you paste into a config file, and the write scope means a connected agent can change firm records.

What is not published is a tool list, an install command or a developer guide, and Karbon states there is no self-provisioned free trial an agent can sign up for, so evaluating it means going through a demo or sales. Karbon is practice management for accounting, bookkeeping and professional services firms, so it sits beside a wealth practice rather than inside one, and a separate community-built Karbon server on GitHub is a different, unofficial project.
